Dr Chris Preece is an Associate Professor in the Department of Quantity Surveying at IIUM (International Islamic University Malaysia), Kuala Lumpur. He was for 14 years at the University of Leeds, UK. His specialist research field is in the area of Business and Project Management in the construction and engineering sectors. In addition, he is a recognized authority in international business development and marketing. He is also an author of more than 40 books and papers at national and international level.

     Dr Preece is involved with international collaborative work with academics and industrialists at home and overseas in research and in the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. He organizes and facilitates conferences, seminars and workshops for both academia and industry at home and overseas. He continues to develop and apply innovative teaching techniques and organizes Continuing Professional Development seminars for industry. He is involved in postgraduate supervision managing many Masters and Doctoral students and has provided seminars on research management at an international level.

    Dr Chris Preece is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in the United Kingdom. He has been external assessor for a number of universities in the UK and abroad.
